April has arrived, and with it, the time to revive Auburn, Silver Spring campus’s school garden!
Auburn’s garden is a student-centered project designed to promote community pride, respect for the earth, healthy eating, and cooperative teamwork. Our students are proud of the work they accomplish in the garden and enjoy witnessing the fruition of their efforts. Each class is responsible for a certain kind of plant in the garden, and students are able to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom about the science of plants and art of plant care.
After break, we will be reaching out to classroom parents and sending out more information- so stay tuned!
