Capital Education Scholarship Fund

The Auburn School Capital Education Scholarship Fund changes the lives of the children it serves by providing financial assistance and scholarships to students attending The Auburn School. The Auburn School specializes in serving students with social and communication challenges, integrating strong academics with social thinking and learning. Without the Foundation’s assistance, many of the students would not otherwise have access to the schooling and educational support they need to achieve their full social and academic potential. Unfortunately, this can often lead to more significant problems later on, such as dropping out of school altogether, the inability to remain employed, or struggling with personal relationships.

“Since starting at Auburn, (our daughter) is happier, calmer, more focused, more interactive, and finally starting to be able to show her true academic abilities. And our whole family has been positively affected, as she interacts much more frequently and positively with siblings and other friends/ family members, homework is a much easier task, and we’re not constantly running from one therapy appointment to the next.”

We invite you to join with us in our mission to change lives

Thank you from all of us at Auburn for your support and generosity!

The Capital Education Scholarship Fund was formed to ensure that The Auburn School has the resources to offer potential students a place, regardless of family income. Through this mission, the Fund also seeks to ensure The Auburn School remains a diverse and vibrant school community to enhance the educational environment for all its students. In the past 4 years, The Auburn School has provided over $3.1 million of financial aid and scholarships to its students, an assistance rate that meets or exceeds the top-tier private schools in the Washington, DC area. The Auburn Scholarship Fund will help Auburn continue, and build upon, this generous level of financial support in coming years. Auburn financial aid and scholarships typically range from $10,000 to $25,000 per student. All families receiving awards are required to pay a minimum portion of the tuition cost. Auburn’s current tuition is roughly $35,000, consistent with comparable specialized schools in the area.
